Killing Over $3 Lands Teens In Prison

Two teenage boys were sentencing to lengthy prison terms after pleading guilty to second-degree murder and robbery of a man carrying $3 in his pocket.

Forty-nine-year-old Grady Williamson was walking in the 1300 block of Oakhurst Avenue the evening of Jan. 24 when he was robbed stabbed.

Williamson died at Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center early the next day.

On Friday, Gibson Wright III, 17, was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Marvin Tony Clark, 15, received a 25 year sentence because of his age and other circumstances.

The two teens confessed to the crime and told investigators that Thomas Diquan Partlow, 16, stabbed the victim. He is awaiting trial on a charge of first-degree murder and could face life in prison.

Police said the teens decided to rob Williamson for gas money.
