DISPLAYING ABSTRACT - Lionel Tate, who was sentenced to life in prison in Florida five years ago for stomping playmate to death when he was 12, is sentenced to 30 years in prison for violating probation; Judge Joel T Lazarus, who refused to accept Tate's request to withdraw guilty plea to that charge, does accept his request to withdraw guilty plea to charge of robbing pizza deliveryman at gunpoint

Wow, you really got to feel for this kid. I have super mixed feelings about the situation. Questions come up like what would drive someone to do that? and others like does that require 30 yrs? What will he be like after that? Is that really helping? Why not send him to one of those schools that help troubled teens like on the movie Holes rather than prison. The whole thing is just really sad and doesn't make a lot of sense.
